ORTHODOX’s recording activity has always been prolific. With 4 albums released in 6 years (including 2 albums licensed and released in the US by Southern Lord), the trio Seville prepares a collection of previously unreleased songs in LP format but that appeared in various compilations, exclusive editions or as soundtrack of some of their live actions. Covers and unreleased tracks will now see the light. The release will also offer exclusive collaborations with musicians who have shared stage and/or studio with ORTHODOX, which names will be revealed in future communications with you. In addition to this release, the avant-doom trio prepares the sequel to the acclaimed ‘Baal’ (released this year), but such album will not be published until late 2012.
ORTHODOX have been confirmed for PRIMAVERA SOUND FESTIVAL 2012. Other acts on the bill are: MELVINS, MAYHEM, LITURGY, GODFLESH, WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM, AFGHAN WHIGS, MICHAEL GIRA or HARVEY MILK.
ORTHODOX will play on Friday 1st.
