EL PARAMO could be described as a 4 piece equally influenced by Black Sabbath, Colour Haze and Pelican, if you can see the picture. All instrumental stuff, ambient/rock/tropical (more rock and less tropical). Hard to say about the Kyuss influences, but they are there. EL PARAMO is not another stoner rock band (please, respect!), but wil not deny from their sound origins.

Orthodox’ second album “Amanecer en Puerta Oscura”, gives a new perspective to the music they create towards many different directions. Comparing with their monolithic album debut, “Amanecer en Puerta Oscura” comes like a trip crossing through different steps where jazz influences, progressive sounds of King Crimson or the crushing and free forms experiences from Black Flag and Captain Beefheart, and at the same time not forgetting the true and pure metal roots from the band and the Andalusian cultural origins.
The use of new instrumentation (clarinet, trompet, contrabass...), fits natural with the band’s original sound, opening a new window to see the light in a dark music concept. RIP KC recorded their fifth LP in summer and fall of 2006, in the forgotten village of Quintanilla de Somoza, León, Spain. The songs on “Spinguolf” (Alone Records/Influx) are as stylistically free as its title suggests. Burying any labels and classifications and allowing the subconscious to flow, RIP KC have always had a clear objective during rehearsals as well as during recording: preserve on tape the musical crossroads where, halfway through this decade, they are currently standing.
The strategy is this: place microphones to hear, among bells ringing and the barking of known and unknown dogs, the outcome of the sessions of a group liberating its own sound. There’s no catch, morning, noon, and night, at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, their songs emerge with a necessary closeness for the process to capture the moment and as the experimental vehicle, in a way that the recording is synonymous with reality. It’s about capturing this directness and spreading it everywhere.
Half times, recited passages, on “Spinguolf” the tracks follow one another without complexes to celebrate frames of mind. Sweet guitars, airs of keyboards, winding bass, and free drums are the instruments for a trip to faithfully transmit who these three musicians from Vallecas, Spain, influenced as much by Eskorbuto as by John Coltrane, really are. It’s about giving free rein to the primitive instinct that turns music into that something that is so difficult to describe.
“Spinguolf” does not go beyond its previous work “Obvious and Bleeding.” It is simply a continuation, reflecting what we already knew: RIP KC reinvents itself with every recording. Refusing to remake their previous album, praised by critics and fans alike, on “Spinguolf” the band reforms a new incarnation of their punk spirit, an attitude towards music that does not require saturated guitars to reflect that musical and emotional freedom which led to the invention of rock and roll so long ago.

In 2001 the knock on the freak’s ears with their highly acclaimed "Diablo Roto dë...". The press had just started using the word "stoner rock", and tons of bands came out to play and smashed ears with sabbathic riffs. But Viaje a 800 always have been a special and different band trying to set apart from that scene and be labeled “stoner rock”. After a while, as many other bands from south of Spain, reality of their social situation hit them and called it a day. Immediately they became a cult band acclaimed from all who discovered them that year.

5 bad ass guys members from Barcelona underground scene (The Eyes, Campo Santo, Great Coven…), join forces in late 2005 to get formed the Warchetype named project.
The common admiration and respect for acts like Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus o Candlemass, have been the base to create a doom monster that it´s become one of the most respected bands in the spanish underground rock scene. Their great musical experience in other bands and a solid metal background makes other see them like the spanish response to Electric Wizard or Warhorse.In “Goat Goddess Supremacy” (Alone Records 2007), Warchetype express themselves with a dark, heavy doom heart apart from creating sinister and dark sound passages inside great compositions. Long Instrumental opus (“Itaca”) mixes with heavy and powerful vocal tracks very unique in the spanish scene, with a singer that sings and a band that knows how to play a dark song, mixing strenght and melody in a perfect doom-metal act with lyrics, always influenced by mitology, ancient culture, and an alegoric vision of the human vehaviour, and strongly influenced by Balzac, Kant, Kafka, Hesse, Homero or Jenofonte. They drone without being labeled a drone band, and are HEAVY like no one else.
